Today is Black Women’s Equal Pay Day and we are partnering with The Phenomenal Woman Action Campaign to raise awareness about it. That’s right, black women have to work until July 31, 2017 just to earn what white men made in 2016. That is unacceptable.

To call attention to this injustice, read and share Former White House Advisor Valerie Jarrett’s essay on the issue and join us in calling on our government to #RepresentHer. Each of us have so much power — and responsibility — to demand change, and together, we can.

We are proud to partner with phenomenal women to underscore the complex ways we as a society are stacking the deck against 13% of the population. Until we challenge and overcome the systemic barriers that devalue women, especially women of color, we will never live up to the principles our nation was founded on — equality and justice for all.
