Thank you for your interest in hosting a screening! Are you with a school or nonprofit? If so, you may be able to find the appropriate license for your needs on our website.
Our team will be in touch with you within 48 hours. In the meantime, here are a few tips for getting started:
CHOOSE YOUR SCREENING LOCATION, DATE, AND TIME
You can hold a movie screening at a local theater, community center, place of worship, or local school. When choosing a venue, consider the size of the screening and how comfortable your audience will feel there.
ESTABLISH A GOAL FOR YOUR EVENT
Are you part of an organization that wants to generate awareness of your work or do you simply want to share the film and begin a dialogue in your community? Use our Community Screening guide for Miss Representation and The Mask You Live In to help devise the right strategy to meet your goal.
CONSIDER YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE AND GROUP SIZE
Once you have figured out your goal, identify who you want to attend your screening. Knowing your audience will inform how you publicize your event and what strategies to use to reach them. Types of audience members include youth, educators, parents, coaches, and community leaders.
