#NotBuyingIt Win: Sexual Predator, Bill O’Reilly Fired from FOX News

Sexual harassment charges had followed Bill O’Reilly for years, and FOX News had stood by him, quietly paying out more than $13 million in settlements. But more and more women started to speak out about their experience, bravely coming forward to accuse Bill O’Reilly of sexual harassment. Working with The New York Times, they were able to break the story in a big way.

That’s when we sprang into action. Thanks to you and our partners, Sleeping Giants, Grab Your Wallet, UltraViolet, Color of Change, and more, we created a chorus so loud that FOX News had to listen. We successfully persuaded more than 70 advertisers to pull their spots from The O’Reilly Factor and told FOX News that it was time to stop valuing profit over common decency. And it worked! Thanks to you, FOX News announced last week that Bill O’Reilly will not be returning to the airwaves.

This week, let’s celebrate the power of our voices by sharing how we held FOX News accountable. Together, we can create a more just and equitable society for all.

Let’s Continue To Tell Amazon We’re #NotBuyingIt

AmazonNotBuyingIt
We’re not giving up until Amazon stops advertising on hate-speech website Breitbart. Sources say we’re getting close with more Amazon employees speaking out and Amazon admitting on their customer service line that Breitbart doesn’t “align with our values.”

Keep up the pressure by calling Amazon and letting them know your concerns. Organize your friends and family to do the same. Heck, stop using the service if you can. And keep tweeting #NotBuyingIt until they announce a change in policy.

Together, we’ll continue to hold brands accountable for the messages and values they promote and propagate.

“Disclosing that he has spoken to a professional about his mental health, [Prince Harry] describes how he only began to address his grief when he was 28 after feeling ‘on the verge of punching someone’ and facing anxiety during royal engagements… The Prince, now 32, turned to counsellors and even took up boxing. He says he is now in ‘a good place’. Prince Harry has decided to give an unprecedented insight into his past in the hope it will encourage people to break the stigma surrounding mental health issues.” – The Telegraph
