We’re Not Pre-Existing Conditions

The Senate is set to construct a healthcare bill that, if similar to the AHCA passed by the House last week, may allow state legislatures and insurance companies to characterize c-sections, rape, and depression as pre-existing conditions. At a time when women, people of color, and those living with disabilities face disproportionate barriers to receiving the care they need, it’s critical we challenge a system that could further disadvantage them.

It’s time we fight for American’s access to affordable healthcare free from discrimination on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, national origin, and disability. Share this calling card and commit to calling your senators this week. Together, we must make our voices heard.

Onwards,
