With everything that happened in Hollywood last year, it was more important than ever that reporters #AskHerMore at the Golden Globes on Sunday. Joining those who said #TIMESUP on sexual harassment, abuse, and assault, we were encouraged that the first award show of the season centered women’s voices, achievements, and experiences.

Whether celebrating the $15 million dollars raised for the #TimesUp legal defense fund, spotlighting activists including Tarana Burke and their work, or cheering on Oprah, a mogul, actress, activist, and survivor, as she became the first Black woman to receive the Cecil B. DeMille award, the Golden Globes was a powerful reminder that “a new day is on the horizon.”

As part of #TIMESUP, A-list actresses brought to the Golden Globes eight activists whose work centers on intersectional justice for sexual assault survivors. Each of these activists brought a lifetime of work with them to the red carpet and that’s why this week, we invite you to learn more about their work and get involved. Together, we’ll create a more just and equal world that values women and girls for more than their appearance and respects and celebrates women’s full humanity.
